Pat checked the clock on the wall in the large indoor arena. It was almost 2:30, and the first class was wrapping up, meaning that Pat’s class would be starting soon. She got up from her seat in the stands and made her way for the door, throwing on her raincoat. Head down, she sprinted across the yard to the guest stable, rain pounding on her back.
Opening the door, she saw a bay head poke out of a stall.
“Hey there, Dee.” pat flipped back her hood and slipped inside the stall with her horse.
Her jaw dropped. Delilah’s braids, which Pat had worked so meticulously to put in that morning, had all been rubbed out. Black hair was stuck in cracks in the wall, and braiding thread littered the stall floor.
“Oh, Dee.” Helpless, Pat set to work cleaning and tacking up. There was no way she would be able to put her braids back in time, and she just hoped the judges wouldn’t take away from their score.

In the ring, Pat and Delilah shone like stars, powering over the course, and taking everything in stride.

Lol... Pat looks Asian. Anyway, I did this back in March when I first signed up for this show, which is why the shading style is so primitave.
